What is your MOQ and tea tins wholesale price for custom tea tins wholesale?
Standard tea tin MOQ is 1,000 pcs per design — uniform across every case in this library. Unit price runs $0.40 – $1.35 for the middle 50% of cases, with a median of $0.63 – 0.94. The liner and the closure move the price more than the artwork does.
Do you supply empty tea tins or only filled ones?
Empty — we are a tea tin factory in China and a tea caddy supplier, not a filler. Bodies and lids ship unfilled and unlabelled, so empty tea tins for loose tea can be filled and sealed on your own line.
Can you handle tea tins bulk orders across several shapes at once?
Yes. Bulk tea tins and wholesale tea tins programmes are quoted per mould, so small tea tins for a sampler and large tea tins for a caddy can sit in one purchase order with separate minimums — which is how most tea ranges are built.
Are your tea tins airtight and food grade?
Yes. Bodies are food-grade tinplate with a food-contact-safe internal coating where required, and the lid seats under compression — that curl seal is what makes an airtight tea tin rather than a decorative one, and what stops leaf going stale in a humid room.
Do you make tins for tea bags as well as loose leaf formats?
Yes, and the interiors are different jobs. A tea container for tea bags gets a divider so the strings do not tangle and the bags stay in rows; tea bags in a tin packed loose arrive as a knot. tea bag storage tins are usually the counter format, and they get a gasket rather than a plain lift-off lid.
Can I order custom tea tins with my own artwork?
Yes — that is the whole point of reusing a mould. Send artwork or a sketch; we proof it on the real substrate within 48 hours and print up to 8 colours, CMYK or spot. A tea box with lid gets body and lid quoted as separate passes.
What shapes and sizes can you make?
Everything in the register above, plus bespoke geometry. The library covers round, square, rectangular and long slim bodies from a compact tea tin up to a large tea tin, in oval, hexagonal and figure shapes on request — with tea tin canister depths held for caddy formats.
What is the wholesale price of a tea tin?
It follows the mould and the liner, not the artwork: $0.40 – $1.35 per unit for the middle 50% of cases at 1,000 pcs, before packing and freight. A metal tea tin with a heavier gauge and a gasket sits at the top of that band.
Do you print inside the lid?
Yes. Body and lid are quoted as separate printing passes, so a lid-only print is the cheapest way to add a second surface — common on a gift tea tin where the inside of the lid carries the brewing guide.
What are your production lead times after sample approval?
A pre-production sample takes 7 days. Printing then ships in 15–20 days on an existing mould, 20–25 days extra if a new die has to be cut. For a seasonal blend we quote against your launch date rather than against a nominal lead time.
Can you support private label tea tins and OEM programmes?
Yes. As an OEM tea tin manufacturer we run private label tea tins end to end — tooling, print, liner, packing and export documents on one line, with your brand on the tin and nothing of ours.
Can you ship to the UK, US, Australia and Canada?
Yes, FOB Ningbo / Shanghai / Shenzhen. Tell us the destination market and we match the relevant food-contact requirements — loose leaf tea tins declared for the EU and those declared for the US are not the same filing.
Do you cut a new mold for a bespoke caddy shape?
Yes. A new mold adds 20–25 days to tooling and is quoted separately from the print, so it only pays off when the silhouette itself is the reason people buy. For most tea tin ranges a body that is already cut is the faster route to a first order.
What capacity should we pick — a small sampler or a one-liter caddy?
Both are standard, and the choice follows the leaf rather than the market. A tea tin sized in litres holds very different weights depending on the leaf grade, so send the gram fill and we size the tea tin box from that figure rather than from a nominal volume.
